It's negative five degrees outside right now, but windy so it feels like negative thirty. Yikes. Wish me luck. My windows are covered in ice. At least I'm going to go eat soup soon.

My dear Ammie, remember the soup we made for our winter solstice party? Well, I have good news: I riffed on that recipe tonight to make a much smaller batch of soup and it was so, SO GOOD! It would have tasted even better if you'd been here with me to eat it, but so it goes with long-distance friendships. All of this is to say that I'll be sharing my recipe soon and you should make it. Because it rocks ;-)
